Bluefields has many options for eating, ranking from moderately priced to economical. There is really no upscale restaurants to visit, here, but food is quite good, especially if you like seafood. Following is a list of the best Bluefields restaurants:
Pelican Bay

One of the most elegant Bluefields restaurants. It is located right on the water, and has a spacious terrace over looking the Bluefields Lagoon. International cuisine, featuring seafood, chicken and beef dishes. They have a full international bar. Open daily for lunch and dinner. Chef Marcel

Considered by the locals as the best restaurant in town, the restaurant does actually live up to its reputation. Open for lunch and dinner, they offer an extensive international menu. Probably the best service in town. Located close to the Bluefields park.[themify_hr color=”light-gray” width=”1px”]
Restaurante Tia Irene

Also known as the Bluefields Bay . Probably the nicest, tipico spot in town, right on the water and with a view towards the municipal port, which allows you to see port activity and the people arriving and departing from town. Menu includes seafood, with great shrimp, lobster, fish, as well as chicken and beef dishes. Full international bar service. Open daily from 11:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m.. Entrance is kind of confusing, as you must walk down some stairs in what is part of a hotel before you make it to the water level, which is where the restraint is at.[themify_hr color=”light-gray” width=”1px”]
Luna Ranch
Located on the outskirts of town, in the Barrio Luna Fresca, close to the Urracan University, you will need a taxi to get there. Nice setting with a thatched roof, and decorated with historical photos of Bluefields after hurricane Joan, which did much damage to the city in 1988. Food options include comida corriente, as well as menu featuring their specialties, Punta Jalapeña and Pescado Luna Rancho. Open daily from 10:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. Very reasonable prices. They have a full international bar service also. Occasionally they sponsor cultural events here. Worth the trip out to this place. Some of the best traditional Bluefields cuisine.
